Dear list,
now as trixie is is in frozen state I am asking myself, when best time to
upgrade to trixie.
My systems are no important product systems, so small failures do not harm
much.
You may want to pick the PC you use the least and upgrade it now to help test Alpha 1 or wait for Beta. Trixie still has a while to go. I just installed trixie with no issues. I am going to try upgrading one of my PC's a little later.
First question: Would you recommend to upgrade now or just wait until the
official release?
Second question: I have the feeling, that after trixie freeze packages from
stable are also in a "frozen" state. Is this be done, because you do not want
to risk any upgrade crashes from bookworm to trixie as the now frozen packages
guarantee a flawless upgrade?
Third question: Maybe some German speaking can answer this: I saw the term
"keypackages for debian" in the doku. Does this mean what you say in German
"Schlüsselpakete" (packages, which are necessary) or does it mean "Pakete mit
Schlüsseln" (packages with some key-files in it)?
Thanks for a short feedback.
Best
Hans
